Glasshouse experiment 1

The soil profile of a Yellow Chromosol (Holbrook) was sampled in 4, 10cm layers layers and reconstructed. Lime or finely ground lucerne added to one (three treatments), two (three treatments) or all three (one treatment) of the top three layers. The response of an acid sensitive wheat was measured 31 days after sowing. Root and shoot biomass and soil pH.
