Intensive leaf loss experiment |
Abstract |
Replicated field experiment (4 replicates, split plot design, main plot water/nitrogen, sub-plot leaf loss treatment). Leaf loss treatments were the application of the desiccating agent KI to targeted leaves at various growth stages (GS). Leaves targeted were the flag leaf (FL) at the beginning of anthesis (GS61), FL at GS39 /GS43 and Flag -1 (FL-1)/Flag-2 (FL-2) at GS33/GS32. Data set contains design, data collected and analysed to investigate contribution of wheat leaves to yield. |
