Title

2015-2016 Septoria tritici blotch phenotype data from adult plants and seedlings at Wagga Wagga, NSW and Hamilton, Victoria plus genomic data used for GWAS in an Australian bread wheat diversity panel published in DOI:10.3389/fpls.2022.990915

Abstract

The data comprises 10 experiments (FRA15CPVT, FRA15HLTN, FRA16HLTN, FRA16CPVT, GEA15GH6S, GEB15GH6S, GEC15GH6S, GEA16GH6S, GEB16GH6S, GEC16GH6S) conducted to collect adult plant and seedling data for wheat reactions to infection with Septoria tritici blotch. For the adult plants, infection was from natural field inoculum, reactions scored as STB_A 1-9 scale and Percentage of Pycnidia density covered on Necrosis, plant maturity recorded as Zadock scale. For seedlings, two single isolate inoculum was used, reactions scored as STB_S 1-5 scale and Percent necrosis, Percentage of Pycnidia density covered on Necrosis recorded. 273 wheat accessions were used in the experiments representing a diverse set of mainly Australian cultivars with representative germplasm from international sources, detials provided in the publication. Genotyping was carried out by DArT comprising 11,200 SNPs. Field experiemnts conducted at Wagga Wagga Agricultural Institute (-35.05287,147347657) with supplementary overhead irrigation and DEDJTR Hamilton Centre (-37.821254,142.065262) rainfed conditions.Glasshouse experiments conducted at Wagga Wagga Agricultural Institute.
